Job Summary
The Maintenance Support Pilot - Fixed Wing will perform pre-induction maintenance flights, post maintenance flights, ground runs and ferry flights as directed by maintenance planning and regional leadership. Responsible for ensuring aircraft are airworthy and weather conditions are appropriate to conduct maintenance operational flights and repositioning ferry flights. Responsible for briefing and/or supervising all associated personnel in aircraft operations as applicable. Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) as applicable, and a thorough knowledge of Air Methods policies and procedures. Responsible for ensuring Air Methods aircraft are returned to revenue service fully operational, and capable of performing the air medical mission in accordance with OEM guidelines and supplemental type certificates.

Operates assigned aircraft in a safe and legal manner at all times (100%).Perform Aircraft preservation ground runs.Perform Aircraft post maintenance ground runs.Completes pre-flight before every flight verifying the aircraft is in an airworthy condition. Perform a complete walk around of the aircraft prior to entering the cockpit for flight and upon completion of each flight.Perform Aircraft post maintenance operational flights for RTS (Return To Service) per OEM and regulatory requirementsFerry aircraft as directed.Complies with PIC duties and responsibilities in the Air Methods GOM.Responsible for ensuring all aircraft systems and installed equipment are airworthy and operationally functional when released for revenue service.Final authority with regard to operations of aircraft and for the safety of crew, passengers, cargo and equipment.Responsible for completion of required documentation.Able to conduct detailed flight planning with little notice to exacting standards.Additional Job Requirements

USD $81,525.00 - USD $122,250.00 /Yr.
