Job DescriptionDuties and Responsibilities:
Perform purchasing functions for fixtures and contractual buying utilizing quotation, bidding and negotiation techniques.Institute regular price negotiations with vendors and suppliers to achieve the lowest cost.Review building plans of new stores, remodels and expansion projects to determine equipment requirements.Sourcing and evaluating products and services required for new in-store projects.Review proper pricing of all purchase transactions and resolve related invoice discrepancies.Establish and maintain schedules of product review for pricing and usage efficiency.Travel to store locations to review construction schedules and ensure proper fixture is ordered and delivered to meet construction schedules. Check on progress of t deliveries by visiting projects 2 days per week and attending job meetings via Teams or in person.Maintain relationships and communications with suppliers, stores, supervision, distribution facilities and other administrative groups.Establish record keeping systems and maintain all necessary records concerning equipment contracts, warranties, purchases and other budget or financially related information.Maintain current knowledge of market conditions to assist department in price negotiations.Maintain inventory levels of various products to support new store and remodel projects.Maintain weekly equipment delivery reports for Store Operations and Construction Department to facilitate receiving and installation schedules.Participate in any departmental or interdepartmental committees that have a direct relationship or impact on the purchasing activities of the department.Develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases on-line to support department related programs.Utilize available on-line purchasing and tracking methods.Prepare initial budgets and continuously monitor fixture purchases during all phases of construction to ensure project cost are maintained within the specified amounts.
Qualifications:
