Flair Bartender

JOB SUMMARY:

Flair bartenders entertain guests, clientele, or audiences with the manipulation of bar tools (e.g. cocktail shakers) and liquor bottles in tricky, dazzling ways.  Provides an inviting environment with the ability to hold down a large bar while also serving/filling drink orders.

JOB DUTIES:

Must be able to juggle, throw, and catch bottles. Must be comfortable performing in front of a sizeable audience in varied locations. Greet customers and present beverage, lunch & dinner menus Make recommendations and answer all related inquiries, craft beers, happy hour, specials, and respective main menu items Take orders from serving staff or directly from customers Record drink orders accurately into the POS system, i.e., InfoGenesis  Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes Peel, slice, and pit fruit for garnishing drinks. Mix and garnish cocktails according to standard specs Prepare checks and process payments for customers Arrange glasses and bottles into attractive and functional displays Ensure clean glasses, bar equipment and working areas Must handle both bar and respective bar tables as assigned Coordinates daily supply inventory for the bar and submits orders to the supervisor Adheres to proper labeling, dating, and rotation of all beverage items  Adheres to SERVsafe rules and regulations governing consumption of alcohol Understanding and comply with Dram Shop Laws as well as Maryland State alcohol rules and regulations. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be 21 years of age Flair Bartending / Performance Bartending Certification Required Must be a certified Mixologist 3+ years in customer service industry with a clear passion for service. Night Club/Premium Lounge/High Volume Bar experience required Working knowledge of standard drink recipes, spirits, wine, and beer Understands classes of alcohol, different glasses, brand names and garnishments Working knowledge of bar equipment Cash-handling skills, cash out procedures (voids, refires, guest disputes, etc.). Computer literacy (point of sale) Must comply with strict grooming and appearance standards.  Must be able to tolerate loud music, crowds, club lighting. Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time (8-10 hours). Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises, and bright lights. Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

$17.90 Per Hour + Tips  Bi-Weekly Pay Dates Paid Time Off, 401(k), Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability Insurance - Holiday Pay
