Position Summary:
The Body Technician repairs damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and collision center specifications and quality standards.
Essential Functions:
Maintain a professional appearance at all times.Ensure the work area is clean and organized.Inspect work to determine the repair needs to specifications and work order.Disassemble and reassemble vehicles to perform repairs needed.Repair vehicles per work order.Notify management of additional repairs needed and any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised delivery time.Complete repairs using abrasives, solvents, brushes, blowtorches, washing tanks, welders, sandblasters, corrosive chemicals, compressed gasses, flammable materials, and others not listed.Dispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner.Check completed jobs to ensure quality standards are met.Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair of vehicles as necessary.Maintain and wear all required safety equipment.Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations.Essential Physical Requirements:
