The Flat Roller is responsible for working with team members to install screen mesh into window frames and properly sequencing orders.

Starting Wage: $18.00/hour

What Success Looks Like:  

This description represents the most significant job duties but does not exclude other work duties that may be assigned as needed.

Follows all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; and notifies the supervisor of any existing or potential safety issues. Read build instructions from computer monitor ensuring proper length, type and color of materials. Eventual cross training to ensure proficiency in neighboring positions. Verify size, color, customer, configuration (hardware), according to labeling system. Ensure standard work adherence. Apply labels to frame upon completion. Properly securing window frames to rolling table and applying screen appropriately. Visually inspect for defects throughout process. Chooses appropriate cloth types according to specification tag. Using hand rolling, sharp knife, and pneumatic tools to secure cloth and accessories to frame. Sequencing into shipping cart or pallet. Follows all standard operating procedures and notifies the supervisor of potential procedural improvements. Meet or exceed the production standards for the position. Perform related work as required. Cooperates with and supports co-workers and gets involved as a team player.

What You Bring:  

High school education or equivalent. Ability to stand throughout the full shift. Ability to use hand tools including tape measure air drill, pneumatics fixed straight-cut saw. Ability to follow both written and verbal directions. Ability to perform repetitive work requiring high levels of concentration. Must have flexibility to work occasional overtime or additional shift. Strict adherence to safety policies.
