MAIN FUNCTIONS: Beverage & Sweet Category Flavorist to develop winning flavor solutions in partnership with our chosen customers.  This position will work directly with our applications teams and develop customer relationships to grow the ADM Flavor business. The Flavorist is responsible for driving sales in the organization through:Creating compelling, innovative, and winning flavorsDemonstrating superior ingredient & technology knowledgeMentoring future Flavorists through patient teaching and open information sharingKEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:Flavor Creation Skills: 2 or more years of experience in the flavor industry with a proven track record of expertise and sales in the Sweet & Beverage categories. Communication: The position requires well-developed communication skills across all functions, both internally and externally. Able to present technical information to customersProject Management: The position requires the candidate to manage multiple customer and internal requests concurrently with speed, accuracy, and efficiencyLeadership: The position requires foundational leadership skills that are expected to grow over the candidate’s career at ADMDESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED:Independently manage creative projects and drive outstanding sales performance in the Beverage and Sweet categoriesDevelop creative and innovative Flavors across all applications within the categoryWork with integrated ADM flavor & extract development to define a robust portfolio of flavoring ingredients useful to our customersDevelop a strong network of relationships with customersCollaborate with the flavorist community to ensure transfer of knowledgeWork with Marketing to promote the category, message and publicize our competenciesWork with Account Managers to identify opportunities for the Beverage & Sweet categoriesParticipate on all high potential Beverage & Sweet projectsTravel: able to travel up to 25%KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:Proven track record of success in the F&F Industry, notably in the Beverage & Sweet categories. Capable of creating innovative flavors upon joining the organization.Bachelor of Science Degree or higher (chemistry /Food Science preferred)At least 2 years working as a Flavor Chemist on the benchMust be a member in good standing in the Society of Flavor Chemists, if US-basedKnowledge of all flavor raw materials, flavor chemistry, flavor creation & compositionGood knowledge of manufacturing processes and delivery technologies.Highly developed project management skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.)
