Position Number: 009545 Department: Facilities Management (Adm) Employment Type: Permanent - Full-time Months Per Year: 12 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Process Motor Fleet reservations 2. Manage the university fueling station 3. Manage warranty claims and information 4. Process vehicle accident reports and coordinate the necessary repairs 5. Keep logs of outsourced vehicles 6. Provide reports to NCDOA on a monthly or as required by NCDOA 7. Communicate directly with customers regarding repairs needed and provide estimated completion times. 8. Coordinate the removal of surplus vehicles with the asset management team. 9. Submit surplus forms for vehicles that have been approved for replacement. 10. Schedule vehicle state inspection renewals. 11. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor Minimum Experience / Education: Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. University Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from a four-year college or university and one year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Preferred Education Skills and Experience: + One-year work experience in fleet management or facilities administration role. + Experience working in Google Sheets Docs and Microsoft Excel. + Experience scheduling vehicle upkeep and repairs. + Experience in record keeping and reporting. + Experience in inventory management. + Experience coordinating shop equipment and lift inspections. + Knowledge to assign workloads to technicians. + Experience coordinating and scheduling vehicle state inspections. + Two years’ customer service experience. + Basic understanding of automotive parts and their procurement + Ability to effectively communicate the English language (reading, writing, interpretation, and comprehension) + Effective skills in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication. + Ability to effectively work/interact with persons from different backgrounds and cultures + Ability to foster and create an atmosphere of teamwork. + A valid driver’s license is required. The Parts and Customer Service Specialist operates assigned vehicles on and/or off campus and is required to possess, maintain, or obtain a valid driver’s license upon appointment to the position. + The selected candidate must have the mental and physical capabilities to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
