Fleet Contract Supervisor

Overview This position is responsible for all aspects of vehicle maintenance and operations performed by vehicle maintenance contractors. Position will ensure all applicable regulations are followed for the safe operation of Company fleet vehicles. Responsible for troubleshooting any issues with vehicle maintenance contractors. Position is responsible for all metrics, analysis, as well as assisting the Manager Transportation in forecasting and developing strategy related to Company fleet vehicles. Responsibilities Work closely with all maintenance contractors and LOB managers to ensure service levels are maintained and vehicles are in safe working condition and compliant with LG&E and KU standards. Responsible for providing reports and statistical data on all departmental and performance metrics. Analyze and ensure performance against established metrics. Analyze fleet management metrics and data to identify opportunities to improve fleet management process, performance and establish future strategy. Prepare departmental budget and provide data for mid-term planning process. Ensure that vehicles are maintained to all statutory requirements. Be knowledgeable of impending or recommended regulatory changes and impacts on Company fleet. Monitor and evaluate Company vehicle maintenance, servicing and repair functions to identify needs and determine financial effectiveness and operational efficiencies. Ensure that all required maintenance and repair records are accurate and auditable. Responsible for maintaining and overseeing the fleet telematics program and ensuring all assets are updated and accounted for. Serve on both the Heavy Duty and Light Duty fleet committees to ensure fleet standardization. Lead and support an effective safety program to ensure all work is performed in a safe manner by contractors and full-time employees. Maintains internal Sarbanes Oxley control documentation for Transportation. Conducts and oversees internal process audits for the business group Manages field service issues effecting other departments such as crew downtime, vehicle maintenance intervals, necessary modifications and accidents. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field with five or more years’ utility or fleet experience Working knowledge of FA Suite or M5 Fleet Management software. Above average interpersonal and leadership skills, organizational awareness and in-depth understanding of other departments, which are interactive to the transportation area Excellent analytical, mathematical, problem solving and project management skills Demonstrated ability to translate data into meaningful analysis to guide appropriate action plans and objectives Ability to interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures Strong ability to build and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with those in and outside of the organization Preferred Qualifications Certified Automotive Fleet Specialist (CAFS) or Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) certification #LG&EKU #INDLGE
