Fleet Coordinator and Parking Field Supervisor
Job Title Fleet Coordinator and Parking Field Supervisor Agency Texas A&M University - San Antonio Department Parking Administration Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location San Antonio, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description The Fleet Coordinator and Parking Field Supervisor, under supervision, enforces parking regulations and coordinates support for institution vehicles. This position supervises field operations of Student Worker Parking Assistants for enforcement, shuttle operations, and supports special events. Salary: $42,000 / annually Responsibilities: + Serve as a Campus Security Authority in compliance with the Federal Clery Act + Enforces parking regulations by giving warnings and issuing parking citations including checking for overtime or illegal/restricted parking which requires driving a university vehicle. + Applies and removes immobility devices + Moves and sets up barrels, barricades and other traffic control equipment. + Performs traffic control and direction duties + Keeps records and makes detailed reports + Provides information to employees, students, and visitors regarding campus parking regulations and directions + Reports safety hazards and other public safety duties + Submit found or unclaimed property by the end of shift to Lost & Found + Due to less managerial oversight during non-business hours, may be required to make decision and apply discretion on enforcement issues more frequently than similar positions during business hours. + Due to differing nature of customer interactions at night, may be required to use more customer relations skills to de-escalate contacts with customers. + May be required to provide more detailed information and directions due to limited availability of other customer resources during these duty hours. + Operate university vehicles, including utility vehicles and golf carts. + Maintain logs for vehicle maintenance, registration, fuel, and insurance. + Monitor and manage vehicle recalls and scheduled repairs. + Coordinate preventative maintenance on institution vehicle fleet, other than Police Vehicle fleet. + Other duties as assigned Required Education and Experience: + High School graduation or any equivalent combination of training and experience + Two years full-time work experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: + Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. + Customer service skills. + Ability to work with reduced levels of managerial oversight and perform supervisory tasks as necessary + Confidentiality is a must due to the sensitive nature of information handled. + Ability to interact courteously with the public and conduct themselves in a business-like manner + Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, etc.) knowledge + Ability to use the SafeZone campus safety app + Must be able to work day or evening shifts, Monday – Friday, and special events which may require weekend support. Registrations, Certifications, and Licenses: + Must be able to obtain State of Texas class “C” vehicle operator’s license within 30 days of employment. Inability to obtain and maintain State of Texas class “C” vehicle operator’s license may result in termination.
