Fleet Development Analyst

The Fleet Development Analyst is integral to the development of Carnival Cruise Line’s fleet strategic plan. This role involves gathering and analyzing essential ship metrics and performance data, creating dashboards and visual representations to contextualize the data, and preparing presentations. Additionally, the Fleet Development Analyst will schedule meetings with key stakeholders both shoreside and shipboard, synthesize their feedback, and devise high-level analytical methods to study potential improvements. Collaborating with Hotel and Technical Operations, Product Development, Marketing, Finance, Shipboard Operations Analytics, and Revenue Management, the Analyst Planner supports the planning and execution of key initiatives. These initiatives aim to enhance Carnival’s competitive position, drive revenue growth and operational efficiency, and improve guest satisfaction.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Partner with Shipboard Operations Analytics to analyze qualitative and quantitative data from Carnival databases and other sources to generate useful metrics for assigned projects. Review the financial or operational implications of the findings and recommend actions based on the results. Conduct market research to understand how our fleet compares to competitors as applicable.
+ Coordinate and attend operational ship visits with Fleet Planning team, CCL management, and other stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and assess future projects. Share lessons learned and insights with the team to inform future initiatives.
+ Schedule strategy planning sessions and executive review meetings. Prepare and update timelines for the cycle of fleetwide project development initiatives. Keep CCL management and project stakeholders aware of critical decision deadlines.
+ Develop easy-to-understand dashboards using tools like Power BI and Tableau. Use data to find useful insights and present these findings to senior leadership to help guide decisions and actions.
+ Partner with team Project Manager to keep all projects updated in Project Management system and ensure timeliness of all projects.
+ Overseeing all aspects of travel budgeting. Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of resources.
+ Develop presentations and other visuals to communicate strategic objectives and concepts for executive reviews.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Interior Design/Architecture, Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering or relevant experience
+ 2+ years of operations, design, engineering, or related analytical experience
+ Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Photoshop. Proficiency with SQL and other programming and relational database skills, Tableau, and PowerBI, preferred.
+ Prior experience in project management, preferably within the cruise industry or a related field
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**
+ Solid analytical, organizational, and time-management skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to make data relatable. Ability to work through various types of analysis and work concurrently. Ability to work alongside, influence and relate to individuals at all levels of the organization.
Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movement throughout CCL facilities.
Travel: 25-50% with shipboard travel likely
Work Conditions: Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
