Fleet Maintenance Clerk
Position OverviewKeep our communities fed.

The Fleet Maintenance Clerk supports the administration and processing of orders related to repair and maintenance of tractor & trailer assets. In addition to order processing this person will play an administrative support role in most all functions related to the entire legal life cycle of vehicle assets from new to retired.

Job Description

Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm

You will contribute by:

Enter repair order part, labor and service line details, purchase order details, process warranty claims and invoices to customers, as well as update registration and title details

Maintain master data details on Units, Customers, Vendors, Parts and related configurations

Research & assign Oracle invoices for payment approval, and assist with system testing to ensure SOP compliance

Prepare period end, progress and tracking reports, and research component repair history to identify trends

Investigate asset utilization and repair history (accident forensics)

Help to create training materials and documentation of configuration & process changes, and maintain work instruction documents

We’re searching for candidates with: 

Specialized Knowledge : Knowledge of vehicle components and parts are a plus but not required. Basic accounting and invoice experience is also helpful.

Special Skills : Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and accurate typing skills are required. Organization skills, detail and accuracy are essential. Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions Ability to manage projects with competing priorities with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Ability to work well independently, under pressure, and in a fast paced environment Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all people Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator Customer service and public relations skills Ability to travel (rarely) to other locations for training and to support company initiatives

0-2 : Data entry, order processing & administrative support. The ideal candidate may have parts room, inventory management, purchasing or state DMV experience along with vehicle maintenance knowledge.
