Are you ready to take on the role of Fleet Maintenance Superintendent for our client in Londolovit, Papua New Guinea? As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our workshop, while upholding our commitment to safety and community involvement.
Role Overview
Workshop Operations: Oversee all aspects of workshop operations, including maintenance schedules, resource allocation, and adherence to client specifications. Reporting: Provide timely and accurate maintenance reports to the BM, including key metrics such as operating costs, maintenance schedules, and compliance with WHS standards. Personnel Management: Lead and motivate workshop personnel, conduct performance reviews, and ensure they have the necessary training and equipment to perform their jobs effectively. Budget Management: Accountable for maintenance budgets, including cost reporting and achieving agreed upon KPIs. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with HR and HSE legislation, as well as all legislated requirements for working on a mine site. Client Relations: Maintain a positive working relationship with clients and manage any commercial interests related to workshop operations. Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the BM to achieve company KPIs and goals.Skills & Qualifications
Leadership: Minimum 10 years experience in a senior supervisory position, with proven ability to lead and motivate teams. Industry Knowledge: Minimum 10 years experience in a contracting environment within mining and metals, civil, construction, or heavy industrial industries. Operational Management: Strong understanding of operational management, including budgeting, cost management, and client/contract management. Technical Expertise: Advanced experience with Caterpillar products and trained by Hasting Deering, as well as experience in maintenance disciplines and managing scheduled maintenance programmes for heavy vehicle fleets. Safety and Compliance: Familiarity with WHS standards and expectations in mining and metals, civil, construction, or heavy industrial industries. Communication: Excellent oral and written skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel. Time Management: Exceptional time management and organizational skills. Team Player: Recognized team player with the ability to build and motivate teams.Education & Experience
Qualifications: Minimum 10 years experience in a senior supervisory position with accountability for maintenance budgets preferred. Certifications/Training: Qualifications and/or training in maintenance management preferred.
