Fleet Maintenance Supervisor

Our client, a leader in highway maintenance, is looking for a dedicated Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to join their team in Sudbury, ON. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the high quality and safety focused culture of a well-established company.


Reporting to the Division Manager, the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the maintenance, service, and repair of our clients fleet. This role also includes supervising and mentoring the mechanical team to ensure optimal performance and equipment readiness.

What You Will Be Doing: Schedule and assign shifts, establish work priorities, and set clear performance and quality expectations Monitor and manage equipment budgets effectively Implement preventative maintenance programs and analyze operation and maintenance costs Lead and develop the mechanical team while fostering talent for future growth Communicate mechanical timelines and schedules to relevant stakeholders. Coordinate seasonal equipment readiness programs Conduct staff and safety meetings, instruct and mentor staff, and enforce workplace safety regulations
What You Will Need: Possession of a 310T or 310S Mechanic License Flexibility to coordinate maintenance team after hours Proven experience in technical and mechanical methods, best practices, and preventative maintenance programs Comprehensive knowledge of Provincial Commercial Regulatory rules and OH&S standards Demonstrated experience in budget management and fiscal policies Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills Familiarity with maintenance record-keeping systems
