Position Summary:
The Fleet Maintenance Training & Development Specialist is accountable for effectively supporting all shop locations within Pyle’s network by providing sustained policy and procedure training to help develop new and current employees. This leader will coach and foster the repair or replace decisions, evaluate training needs and launch training endeavors to throughout the company to establish a more cohesive maintenance practice across the Fleet Maintenance Department. The requirements of this position will be at least 75 percent travel time to effectively support the outlying shops.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Providing systems training for new hire employees and review training existing employees Performing regular shop audits for conformance with standards for safety, cleanliness, appearance and need of repair or maintenance, as well as directing corrective measures required to meet Pyle standards Championing employee engagement with maintenance staff within the department, fostering the Core Values and culture of the company Responsible for overseeing all new shop set ups, vendor relations/procurement and part inventory oversite Executing internal audits on work orders, part inventories and productivity Conducting equipment audits to ensure Safety and DOT regulations are met and complied with Providing insight on current training levels and provides suggestions on new or review training Ensuring uniformity is kept throughout the network on practices, policies and procedures Scrutinizing daily out of service reports for opportunities for coaching Performing equipment evaluation for possible decommission of assets Helping with vacant Fleet Maintenance leadership coverage Monitoring Dashboards daily and makes necessary adjustments in the Fleet Management SoftwareTo be qualified for this position, you must possess the following:
Strong knowledge of class 8 tractor and trailer maintenance and DOT/OSHA guidelines Experience with developing future leaders Familiar with the systems relative to today’s heavy-duty equipment Must have 5+ years of managerial experience in a fleet maintenance environment Must possess the skills to manage remotely ensuring expectations are clearly communicated Strong computer skills and proficient in: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook 75 percent travel time or more is required CDL/State Inspection a plus High school Diploma and Industry Management Experience***This is a job posting.
