Amazing employee flight privileges within the American Airlines global network Training and development programs to take your career to the next level Comprehensive health and life benefits (subject to location)  Responsibilities Responsible for managing and providing oversight of assigned fleet type to ensure safety, reliability and qualityMonitors aircraft performance to provide continuous improvement and to develop solutions to systemic problems affecting fleet reliability.Manages the development, implementation and changes to standards, specifications, programs, procedures and Technical Services documents for the inspection, overhaul, modification, fabrication, maintenance, testing and repair of aircraft.Provides on-site technical support for Line and Base Operations.Interfaces with aircraft manufacturers regarding development and approval of specific repairs. Reviews and incorporates industry and manufacturer information applicable to fleet performance.Coordinates with the Flight Operations Fleet Managers to revise the MEL/CDL manual.Represents the Company regarding the fleet to the FAA, NTSB and other organizations regarding specific issues.Initiates Action Logs for those parameters found to be operating in Alert Condition.Coordinates with other departments in the development and purchase of new tools and test equipment.Performs duties associated with Flight Operational Quality Assurance (FOQA) Program. Qualifications Minimum age of 18BS Degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college/university is preferred; or, Four years Aviation Maintenance experience and hold a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.One year management experience.Knowledge of MSG-3 process and Maintenance Programs development.Possess the legal right to work in the United StatesMust be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
