Job Description Faststream is excited to be partnering with a dynamic global maritime company based in London looking for a Fleet Manager, specialising in dry bulk shipping solutions. Responsibilities:
Champion the company's mission of safe, sustainable, and innovative shipping. Oversee the technical operation and performance of assigned dry bulk vessels through external partners, ensuring alignment with company safety, quality, efficiency, and environmental standards. Develop, monitor, and control running cost budgets to meet goals and key performance indicators (KPIs). Monitor and ensure compliance with statutory, class, and other third-party requirements. Supervise and support the management of the dry-docking process from initial planning through to completion. Ensure all activities, including third-parties, comply with Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards. Regularly visit assigned vessels and managers to oversee operations. Conduct appraisals for onboard ship management teams and external partners.
Qualifications:
Experience as a Technical Superintendent or in a similar role. BSc/MSc in Marine Engineering or Chief/2Eng Engineer. Relevant experience in the dry bulk shipping industry, with operational expertise. Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. Strong technical skills in ship operation and repairs with a high level of data analytical skills. Proficiency in English; additional language skills would be advantageous. The existing right to work in the UK is a MUST to be considered.
