Summary

ABC Fine Wine & Spirits employs its own mechanics, to keep our company-owned vehicles running smoothly. The Commercial Fleet Mechanic (CFM) will ensure that ABC vehicles are in good operating order, including inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing assigned company fleet vehicles.

Responsibilities 

Diagnose, and repair fleet diesel equipment Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine needed repairsComplete preventative maintenance of fleet diesel equipment.Complete needed documentation of work completedOperate company vehicles to diagnose and repair themMay participate in meetings with team membersMaintain a clean and organized work area.Work in a safe manner, per company, local, state, and federal policies, and regulations.Perform routine, corrective maintenance on commercial fleet vehicles, which include but are not limited to, cars, vans, trucks, and trailersConduct preventative maintenance including Lube Oil & Filter (LOF) and DOT inspectionsOther responsibilities as requested by supervisor

Job Requirements
Minimum Experience, Skills, and Education 
Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GEDTwo years+ experience preferred; willing to train for the right candidateValid Driver’s License Acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulationsAbility to read and speak English sufficiently to be able to communicate with leadership and team members, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official questions, and make legible entries on reports and records.Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 30 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds.Must pass both background and drug testing.Must be dependable and on-time, with reliable work transportationHas working knowledge of safety measures and can maintain a safe working environmentMust be at least 19 years of ageMust be legally eligible to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

ASE Certifications Trade school diploma or certificationCommercial Driver’s License

Physical Requirements With or Without Accommodations 

Able to routinely lift 30 poundsAble to occasionally lift up to 50 poundsBe flexible enough to bend, stoop, twist and kneel as needed to evaluate and repair vehiclesSpecific vision abilities required by this position include close vision (at 20 inches or less), distance vision (at 20 feet or more), color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment 

The work environment may be indoors our outside, with varying climate conditions. May be subject to weather conditions including heat, humidity, rain, and wind.Will encounter oil, grease, fuel, and other materials during normal work projects.May be exposed to vehicle fumes during checkups and testing.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
