You choose to do the right thing. + A person who takes pride in their work and has a willingness to learn and improve (no matter how experienced, smart, or successful you are). + Someone with a desire to be part of a team and who enjoys being on a winning team. + A person with a positive attitude and willingness to work with a team. + Someone who uses great communication with co-workers and supervisors. + A professional: someone who understands that your mind needs to be sharp to do your best work and keep those around you safe (and you understand we are a drug-free workplace) SOR TITLE: FLEET & FACILITIES MECHANIC JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS: Duties/Responsibilities: Repair + Perform repairs to vehicles, warehouses, and equipment + Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment (i.e. oil changes, tire rotations, etc.) + Maintain and implement knowledge of manufacturer's guidelines for vehicle and small engine equipment maintenance Coordination + Coordinate larger repairs to vehicles, warehouses, and equipment + Schedule and deliver vehicles/ equipment for major repairs + Track vehicle & equipment maintenance schedules in the appropriate software (GPS/ SOR Reporting, etc.) and the status of preventative maintenance activities + Transport trailers and equipment (i.e. boom lifts, light towers) to job sites + Ensures safety standards are followed throughout facility + Interacts with and assists with recordkeeping software and apps, such as the QR repair report forms, GPS software, ITS, etc. + Assist Logistics Team with inventory tracking, storage, and distribution + Other duties as needed Upfit + Responsible for equipment builds for new vehicles + Collaborate with Logistics Manager on layout, equipment type, and details of future new builds + Utilize various power tools as needed for builds: drill, impact wrench, air ratchet, grinders, etc. + Perform installation of specialized equipment + Maintain and track materials for jobs + Maintain safe, clean, and orderly tools and work area + Complete all required paperwork and documentation Required Skills/Abilities: + 5+ years of related education, training, and experience in vehicle, small engine, and equipment maintenance + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail + Good driving record with at least 3 years of driving experience + Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn the equipment and facilities to be maintained + Strong command of and adherence to safety procedures and best practices Preferred Skills/Abilities: + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Strong understanding of mechanical systems, especially relating to fleet vehicles and Company-owned equipment, such as blowers, surface cleaners, etc. + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software necessary to create and maintain reports and logs + Sufficient communication and computer skills to collaborate with colleagues and outside vendors Physical Requirements: + Prolonged periods standing, squatting, kneeling, and walking throughout facilities + Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times + Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl to maintain equipment and buildings + Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions + Must be able to access all parts of the company equipment + Must be able to adhere to all safety protocols and best practices + Sufficient manual dexterity, strength, and stamina to be able to perform needed repairs and maintenance activities Schedule Requirements/ Attendance and punctuality specifications: + Monday through Friday work schedule starting at 7:30 AM + 40 hours per week This role is 100% in-person, in-office (North Raleigh, 27615). We provide a company-owned vehicle (with allowable personal use) company-owned macbook air and either a company-owned iphone or a reimbursement if you bring your own phone.
