The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are currently seeking an Enterprise Fleet Safety Program Manager - Seattle to join our team as a member of our growing Enterprise. In this role, the Safety Program Manager will establish and manage the McKinstry Fleet Safety Program. Other responsibilities include:

Leadership/ Management

Assists the enterprise and Business Units in the execution of Fleet safety. Sets Fleet Safety Training expectations. Monitor and report on fleet safety performance through proactive engagement, ongoing monitoring and coaching, auditing and incident investigations.

Enterprise/Line of Business/Field Support

Assists teams with adherence to fleet safety and loss control policies. Develop fleet safety policy and plans, which applies DOT, load management, traffic management and McKinstry Safety Programs to ensure a culture of safe driving and compliance. Development and execution of the strategies and procedures associated with Fleet safety and IVMS (digital technology) in coordination with leadership. Implementation with unions is strongly recommended. Develop, source, and implement comprehensive driver safety training requirements. Assist the enterprise, Lines of Business and EHS function with any lessons learned or fleet safety program feedback through collaboration with key leadership stakeholders and safety program manager. Where applicable, verifies that subcontractors are conducting work activities adhering to Fleet safety standards. Assist EHS Function as appropriate. Travel to meet expectations, minimum of 30% Help with fleet activities to access risks Assist project teams with facilitating safety stand downs and communicating fleet safety messages

What you need to succeed at McKinstry:

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio) required. Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations required, in particular DOT. Five (5) years of experience with emphasis on fleet safety required. Bachelor’s degree in safety or related field preferred. Experience in Fleet Safety Management required. Working knowledge of SharePoint and Power BI preferred.

The pay range for this position is $72,090 - $107,370 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
