The FSW Manager is responsible for leading the SW development team in the development of production level embedded flight software for the CPS program. Key responsibility include the generation of executable plans, coordination of teams, establishment of team goals and objectives that align with the customer and leadership intentions. Success is measured by the ability to plan, schedule and execute within the constraints of a high complex environment. The role requires high level of coordination with the Navigation Guidance and Control team and the Systems Engineering & Integration Team (SEIT).
Basic Qualifications:
• Technical and leadership experience with complex systems such as aircraft, missiles, and spacecraft
• Demonstrated experience as a software manager or software team lead
• Demonstrated ability to build effective teams and develop the leadership capabilities of team members
• Ability to develop relationships and build trust across internal teams, external companies, and government organizations
• Experience with flight software development, planning and execution throughout the requirements, development, design, build, test, and integration phases of a mid-size to large program
• No Clearance to start, but must obtain DOD Secret clearance to remain in role
• Ability to support moderate travel
Desired Skills:
• Prior experience flight software development experience
• Prior experience with integration and test of embedded software systems
• Prior engineering management experience including task planning, resource management,
and employee development and mentoring
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical systems/programs
• Experience working in technical teams across multiple disciplines
• Experience with testing environments for software development, including simulated testing and hardware-in-the-loop testing

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
