This role requires a wide range of knowledge and skills that include the basics of airframe and powerplant maintenance on composite airframes to advanced electro-mechanical devices and high voltage electrical systems. Responsibilities Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance per company procedures and maintenance manualsPerform aircraft inspections per company procedures and maintenance manualsRemove and replace airframe, powerplant, and electrical components per company procedures and maintenance manualsComplete required documentation in accordance with established company and FAA proceduresPerform launch and recovery of aircraft including ground operations and observer responsibilities, as well as pre- and post-flight activitiesParticipate in Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) in accordance with company guidelinesMaintain and operate ground support equipmentHelp continually develop maintenance manuals and supporting documentation necessary to operate and maintain our vehiclesResponsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the companyWork in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practicesOther duties as assigned or required Required High school diploma or equivalent and two or more years of mechanical and electrical experienceFAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificateMust be able to work with electro-mechanical devices, high voltage power systems, and electronics equipment. Relevant training will be providedMust be able to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentsMust possess general working knowledge of hand tools and precision measuring equipmentBasic computer and interpersonal skills are required to effectively communicate with coworkersMust be able to work both independently and on a team and be able to work extended hours and travel as requiredRead and speak English proficiently Desired Experience working on experimental and/or prototype vehiclesFAA Inspection Authorization (IA) certificatePart 135 maintenance experienceComposite fabrication and repair experience
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $43-$57/hour. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
