Responsibilities

As a key member of our healthcare team, Float Medical Office Representatives at CHI Saint Joseph Health play a vital role in scheduling patient appointments, medical procedures, and tests as ordered by physicians. This position involves floating to different office locations, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in providing excellent administrative support across multiple settings.

Key Responsibilities:Answer phone calls and schedule patient appointments promptly and accurately.Conduct patient pre-certifications to verify insurance coverage for appointments and medical services.Schedule tests, procedures, and referral appointments as needed.Communicate appointment details and instructions for procedures and tests to patients.Collect and verify patient insurance information and personal data.Collect patient payments, such as co-pays or co-insurance, when applicable.Float between various office locations, providing administrative support wherever needed.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Education / Accreditation / Licensure (Required & Preferred)Required: High school diploma or equivalent.Experience (Required & Preferred)Required: A minimum of 2 years of related experience in a healthcare environment.
