Floating Chef-General Manager, Full-time AVI Foodsystems Inc Charlotte, NC (Onsite) Full-Time Apply Now Job Details AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic leader to fill the role ofFloating General Manager for our dining accounts. This position requires travel (occasional overnight) in and around the metropolitan area of Charlotte, Asheville and upstate South Carolina. Company car and expenses provided. Duties & Responsibilities: + Strong culinary and leadership acumen + Oversight of dining accounts in the absence of the general manager. This includes execution of the menu, catering, financial reports, inventory, food and supply orders, all necessary paperwork + Mentor, lead, and develop the food service team + Conduct employment activities to include staffing, interviewing, training, and conducting performance reviews + Interact professionally and effectively with all levels of individuals, ranging from client contacts and company executives, to hourly team members + Provide prompt, accurate and professional responses, guidance and information to clients and company management as needed or requested + Ability to provide excellent customer service + Troubleshoot all culinary problems regarding menu, products, programs and training + Champion the use of all AVI management systems and corporate programs including culinary training, labor tools, production system, procurement initiatives and HAACP (Front Line Safety Programs) + Mentor new and existing business to ensure all culinary programs are executed consistently + Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry trends Receive segment feedback and tracking data and define opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, food quality and reduce cost + Build and maintain a vibrant network of professional relationships with key partners such as Regional leaders and culinary peers + Ability to travel up to 75% of work hours Job Requirements: + 3 or more years of demonstrated success leading a team of culinary professionals + A training-oriented, “hands on” management style with the desire to mentor others + Exceptional written and verbal communication skills + Strong working knowledge of labor costs, food costs and other related factors + Ability to work both independently and as part of a team + Capacity to thrive and re-prioritize work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment + Personal characteristics that include: high levels of confidence, commitment and resilience, self-motivation, flexibility, superior work ethic, integrity and positive attitude.
