Scope of Responsibilities: Floats to assigned stores within the area to help cover Pharmacy Departments.Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy department. Assists in the training and development of subordinate staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies. Relies on experience and professional judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.

Job Duties:
Follows the Kinney Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions and counsel patientsPerforms all quality assurance steps to ensure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed. Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelinesFollows all State and Federal guidelines governing the practice of PharmacyOversees the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third party claimsManages and balances the pharmacy inventory to provide for maximum turns while still remaining in-stock for customer needs. Oversees the transmitting, processing and receiving of orders to and from the Kinney Warehouse and additional suppliers as neededOversees the checking of pharmacy inventory for outdates and processing of all returnsEnsures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelinesEnsures in-store pharmacy technology is being used to its fullest potential to allow for a maximum return on investment of the technology and life spanEnsure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all timesEnsure all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations from said policies to Loss PreventionAssist in the implementation of all corporate pharmacy marketing, advertising and promotional programs are fully executed and implementedOversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to ensure a clean and professional environmentMaintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professionsMaintains an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practiceMaintains confidentiality regarding all patient informationFacilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnelAssists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelinesAssist in the training and development of all pharmacy department personnel, including use of the Kinney Pharmacy Clerk and Technician Training ProgramInterface with various auditors and outside agencies, as needed Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programsPerform other duties as assigned QualificationsEducation:
Minimum: BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy

Compensation:
$85,800.00 $127,220.71 per year
The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education.
