St. Paul’s Assisted Living is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Floor Care Technician to ensure our facility’s floors and common areas remain clean, safe, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will have experience in floor care, including cleaning, buffing, waxing, and carpet maintenance, and will play a key role in providing a welcoming and sanitary environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and deep cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and polishing.Maintain carpets through vacuuming, spot cleaning, shampooing, and extraction as needed.Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, extractors, and auto scrubbers.Follow proper safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.Ensure hallways, dining areas, resident rooms, and common areas meet cleanliness and infection control standards.Assist housekeeping staff with general cleaning tasks as needed.Monitor and report any floor damage, safety hazards, or necessary repairs to the supervisor.Maintain inventory of floor care supplies and request replacements when necessary.Adhere to all facility policies, health and safety guidelines, and state and federal regulations.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous experience in floor care or environmental services, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment.Knowledge of floor care techniques, equipment, and proper use of cleaning chemicals.Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and operate heavy cleaning equipment for extended periods.Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.What Perks and Benefits Can You Look Forward to?
