**Description** Floor Janitor JBS is seeking an hourly Floor Janitor 1st Shift Team Member! Position starts at $18 per hour. Benefits Include + Paid vacation and holidays + Medical, dental and vision benefits + 401(k) plan + Better Futures Program + Onsite Cafeteria + Career development opportunities Essential Duties and Responsibilities + To clean and sanitize machinery and floors in a production line setting + Responsible for all basic cleaning in and around assigned area + Set up,stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies + Monitor and maintain sanitation and organization of assigned areas + Operate heavy equipment + Stay aware of your surroundings and notify a supervisor if you recognize a hazard + Perform other duties as needed or as assigned Qualifications + High School Diploma or equivalent certification + Ability to speak, read, and write English + Good verbal and written communication skills + Bilingual (Spanish) preferred + Must be well-organized with good attention to detail + Display strong work ethic and positive attitude + Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperation with others + Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance + Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, instructions and to deal with problems involving a few different variables. + Strong desire to work hands-on work environment + Good attendance and safety records + Must be 18 years of age or older Work Environment + Must be able to work in a cold, damp environment + Production and maintenance settings + Exposure to various chemicals, machinery, and knives + Very active position, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and crawling. + Must be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. + Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and or fingers. + Acute close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. + Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds throughout the day with a partner. + Must be able to work for long hours in a no-kill food processing environment, where it is wet, damp, and cold. Employees are expected to remain in these conditions for most of their workdays.
