Overview

SUPERVISION: This position reports to the housekeeping Supervisor and has no direct reports.

POSITION PHILOSOPHY: Is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Agency building and grounds according to the standards set by the State and the Agency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS LISTED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Overall Expectations
1. Demonstrates a good attendance record.
2. Works scheduled hours as determined by the Maintenance Supervisor.
3. Submits for approval any changes in work schedule to the Maintenance Supervisor.
4. Submits requests for use of benefit time to the Maintenance Supervisor.
5. Submits an accurately completed timecard and Payroll Information Form as appropriate to the Maintenance Supervisor.
6. Follows procedures when unable to work per schedule. Notifies the Maintenance Supervisor if unable to work.
. 7. Demonstrates appropriate use of Employee Handbook information and policies/procedures.
8. Observes rules of confidentiality, both on the job and in the community.
9. Uses and completes Agency forms per policies/procedures.
10. Takes action to ensure a healthy and safe environment for the residents by implementing applicable policies and procedures.
11. Uses only Agency approved techniques in providing a safe and healthy environment.
12. Reads daily reports, records, memos, etc. to remain updated on overall Agency information.
13. Demonstrates positive and open communication and actions with all Agency personnel.
14. Reports per policy, any suspected resident abuse, whether physical, sexual, or mental/psychological.
15. Completes Incident Reports per policy to ensure communication of pertinent information regarding resident social, emotional, behavioral, and physical functioning.
16. Maintains current knowledge in emergency evacuation procedures and implements as necessary per policy.
17. Maintains a valid Indiana Driver's License and excellent driving record per insurance company standards in order to use Agency vehicles and/or transport residents. Informs the Maintenance Supervisor regarding changes in license status.
18. Implements Agency policies and legal standards when driving an Agency vehicle.
19. Participates in and completes new employee four-month orientation with the Maintenance Supervisor.
20. Participates in orientation and annual evaluation sessions with the Maintenance Supervisor.
21. Protects resident rights and reports violations; treats residents with dignity and respect.
