Responsibilities

 

Perform specialized floor care tasks, such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning.Safely operate various types of floor care equipment, such as auto scrubbers and burnishers.Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of floors in public and private spaces, including hallways, classrooms, offices, and common areas.Comply with safety standards and follow all infection control, sanitation, and hazardous materials policies.Respond promptly to floor care requests and maintain communication with campus staff.Perform light janitorial duties, including trash removal, as needed.Collaborate with your supervisor and team to identify areas needing attention or improvement.All other duties as assigned by management.





Qualifications

 

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Experience in floor care or janitorial services is preferred but not required; training will be provided.Ability to operate and maintain specialized floor care equipment.Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and work independently.Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with students, staff, and guests.Compliance with safety and quality standards at all times.Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 75 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks daily and work in an environment that requires handling cleaning products.Must provide a criminal background check.
