Oil & Gas Wood is looking for Flow Assurance Technical Authority in KSA
This position will be under our Consulting Business.
The Flow Assurance Technical Authority (TA) provides subject matter expertise and technical governance to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient hydrocarbon transport from wellhead to processing facilities. This role ensures compliance with company standards, Saudi regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, while supporting projects and operations across the Kingdom.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities Technical Authority & Compliance
Serve as the recognised Flow Assurance authority for KSA operations. Ensure all flow assurance designs and strategies comply with corporate standards and local regulations. Approve and validate flow assurance deliverables across all project phases (concept, FEED, detailed design, operations).Flow Assurance Strategy & Design
Develop and implement flow assurance strategies for onshore and offshore assets in KSA. Lead studies on multiphase flow, hydrate prevention, wax/asphaltene deposition, scale, and corrosion. Integrate flow assurance considerations into system design and operational procedures.Operational Support & Risk Management
Provide expert troubleshooting for flow assurance issues during commissioning and operations. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for flow assurance challenges. Approve chemical treatment and thermal management strategies.Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with project teams, operations, and local partners to ensure alignment with KSA-specific requirements. Represent the company in technical discussions with clients, regulators, and joint venture partners.Capability Development
Mentor and train local engineers to build flow assurance expertise within the KSA team. Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives. QualificationsEducation:
BSc in Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering (MSc/PhD preferred).Experience:
Minimum 12-15 years in oil and gas, with significant experience in flow assurance for Middle East projects. Strong background in multiphase flow modelling and simulation tools (e.g., OLGA, Pipesim).Skills:
Deep understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and production chemistry. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Key Competencies
