**Job Title: Core Welder** **Job Description** We are seeking an experienced Core Welder to join our team in fabricating and welding custom parts, primarily pressure vessels used in shipyards or the boating industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, blueprint reading, and working with various metals. All candidates must pass a weld test to ensure they meet our high standards. **Responsibilities** + Perform welding and fabricating of custom parts using MIG and Flux Core welding techniques. + Read and interpret blueprints to determine specifications and ensure accuracy. + Work with various metals, including cutting and preparing parts. + Ensure all welds are leak-proof and meet quality standards. + Perform own prep work in a small machine shop environment. + Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to safety protocols. **Essential Skills** + 1-3 years of Flux Core welding experience. + 1-2 years of blueprint reading experience. + Proficiency in MIG welding. + Understanding of Jig work. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with cutting parts and metals is a major plus. + Ability to pass a weld test. **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values good attitudes and ownership of work. The work environment is a small machine shop where employees are expected to do what is needed to get the job done. Steel-toed boots and safety glasses are required. Be prepared for the demanding nature of Flux Core welding, which is typically hot and can have a distinct smell. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of GREENCASTLE, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
