Flying Instructor – Emirates Flight Training Academy

Responsible for delivering high quality flying training instruction, initially on SR-22 single engine aircraft, to ab-initio pilot cadets, at the Emirates Flight Training Academy. Instructional duties include on-aircraft, in-simulator and on-ground instruction, preparation of lessons, pre-and post-flight briefings, accurate report writing and assessment. Having demonstrated proficiency in the single engine instructional role, there is the potential to move onto the DA42 twin engine fleet. Irrespective of fleet, having successfully completed 5-years in the instructional role at EFTA, instructors will have the opportunity to apply to join Emirates Airline, an opportunity no other FTO can offer.


Job Outline

Provide training and flying instruction to ab-initio cadets.Conduct pre and post flight training briefings to ensure cadets have the requisite knowledge and understand the process and procedure fully.Conduct and deliver flying skills training in aircraft, simulator, and ground instruction to ensure the cadets meet the prescribed standards of flying.Conduct regular checks for cadets to ensure they meet the course standards, Ensure the safety of the cadets is paramount and report incidents to the concerned personnel for any violations and situations that may affect the safety of the operation.Monitor cadet’s proficiency and progress on regular basis and generate accurate reports of their performance.Research, develop, and recommend new training methods to further improve the standard of learning and performance.Deliver other flying-related training initiatives as directed by the CFI.
