Position Number: 010107 Department: Facilities Management (Adm) Employment Type: Permanent - Full-time Months Per Year: 12 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Maintain, repair, place, fabricate, install, alter, and construct facility components that require the application of skills in planning, problem solving, and attention to detail, teamwork, communication and adherence to safety. + Perform routine maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and/or the physical condition of buildings do no deteriorate. + Use electrical test devices to troubleshoot and repair chiller electrical control circuits. + Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary. Minimum Experience / Education: Required Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the position’s role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. University Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the position’s role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Education Skills and Experience: + High school diploma or GED equivalency. + 2 – 4 years of HVAC experience preferred. + Effective comprehensive skills in verbal, written and interpersonal communications. + Computer knowledge and skill; experience with Google Chrome, and willingness to learn new programs. + Ability to foster and create an atmosphere of teamwork.
