PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Delivery of occupational health nursing services for Exelon's FMLA process, including application, review and approvals. This includes coordination with legal for all approvals/denials/EEOC and Department of Labor enforcement activity.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Plans and implements Exelon OHS functions surrounding the FMLA program. (50%) Provides appropriate, aggressive case management and determination of all FMLA requests from all Exelon locations/sites, including consultations with treating physicians, Exelon's Medical Advisor, Site HR managers, company legal representatives, and the employee's department manager. All processes must be coordinated for the most efficient, productive determinations concerning FMLA leave. (40%) Perform biannual audits on FMLA processes, data entry into Passport Systems Corporation Wide for all approved and non approved FMLA applications (10%)

Problem solving and negotiating skills. Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment. Ability to manage in a matrixed mixed environment Works under minimal supervision. Please note that this is a temporary position that will have a designated end date. Due to the temporary nature of this position, the only benefits that the selected candidate will be eligible for are Medical Coverage, Retirement Benefits, Floating Holidays, and Sick Leave.  *

High School Diploma or equivalent with minimum of 2-4 years relevant experience. Extensive knowledge of the provision of FMLA, external healthcare resources, and regulation interpretation. PC Skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel) Strong communication skills (written and oral) Excellent time management skills and attention to detail

Experience working with state leave benefits *
