The Cinematography course (FMMC 0218) within the Film and Media Culture Department seeks an actor for the hands-on lighting component of the class. The right candidate should be comfortable performing in front of a camera, in a small classroom setting, under full film lighting conditions.
Must be willing to take direction and stand in while the class designs the lighting setup around them. Ability to improvise dialogue and performance is preferred.
This position is excluded from the Midd student wage scale and is compensated at: $19.50 per hour.
Experience Desired:
Previous acting for the screen and/or modeling experience preferred.
Other:
The lab component of the class meets Thursdays from 1:30pm – 4:15pm beginning September 11th and ending December 4th, 2025.
We prefer to hire one actor/actress that can attend all Thursday afternoon class sessions but may hire multiple actors to fill out the schedule if needed.
A copy of all media from the lighting component of the class will be provided including up to 12 distinct lighting setups for your own acting reel.
