Provides production and post-production support during evening hours and weekends.
This position is compensated at the Level B rate on the Midd student wage scale: $14.43 - $14.86 per hour.
Core Responsibilities:
Provides evening support in the Film and Media Culture computer labs and post-production facilities. Troubleshoots audio and video hardware issues. Troubleshoots audio and video software issues. Reports hardware and software issues that are not resolved during work hours. Introduces and guides peer students through established production and post-production workflows. Cleans computer displays, keyboards, and lab surfaces. Inventories lab assets and reports damaged equipment and hardware at the start and end of each shift. Arranges lab furniture and ensures proper workstation connectivity at the start and end of each shift. Maintains and contributes content to the Film and Media Culture Production Hub online resource. Provides a student perspective and recommends improvements to the production and post-production process. Edits Film and Media Culture video content for departmental use and for social media. Performs other duties as assigned to assist the department in obtaining and maintaining its mission.
