FMO Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor
Job Description SummaryFMO Maintenance Team Leader for a commercial nuclear fuel manufacturing operation. Leader of a multi-functional maintenance team, supporting a Nuclear Fuel Manufacturing facility across multiple shifts. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance team’s safety, work quality, customer deliverables and effectiveness of the FMO mechanical/electrical and HVAC team.

Roles and Responsibilities

Leader of the Maintenance A/HVAC team in Global Nuclear Fuel’s Fuel Manufacturing Operation (FMO).  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Select, train, develop, and provide ongoing leadership and direction of assigned personnelEnsure team members are provided adequate training, resources, and support to assure safe and compliant maintenance activities in a nuclear regulated environmentBe responsible for meeting the team’s strict EHS requirements, equipment repairs, PM completions and facility managementAssure maintenance activity planning - provides direction to support maintenance needs of FMO including work assignments, scheduling of overtime, and trainingSupport, encourage and facilitate Human Performance and Lean Manufacturing principlesWork with manufacturing engineering, support functions and FMO leadership to provide maintenance excellence, ensuring required PMs, calibrations and equipment reliability expectations are metCommunicate business goals, programs, and expectations to the teamPromote team engagement and ownershipDevelop and support the growth of all team employeesLead team of maintenance professionals across a 24/7 manufacturing facilityOther relevant duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Minimum of High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a maintenance role (strong electrical skills highly desirable)Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, nuclear operations, technical or supervisory role.  Work experience must include one of the following:  1 year of supervisory experience in a nuclear, manufacturing, or technical field; OR 2 years of technical experience in nuclear or manufacturing operations; OR 3 years of maintenance experience in nuclear operations

Eligibility Requirements:

Ability and willingness to cover off-shifts.  Regular shift assignment will be day shift (7am – 3pm) in the Fuel Manufacturing Operation (FMO).Ability to wear protective clothing and a respirator in accordance with site requirements.Ability to walk up and down stairs multiple times during the day.An offer of employment is conditional upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screenMust be 18 years or older and have legal authorization to work in the United States

Desired Characteristics

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering or closely related field from a regionally accredited college, university, or equivalentSupervision experience in a maintenance/HVAC fieldStrong industrial electrical knowledge (480VAC, 3phase)Experience in Lean Manufacturing with a TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) focusNuclear plant operations or services experienceMechanical or ceramics engineering experienceKnowledge of nuclear fuel manufacturingExperience working in Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulated environmentAbility to read and interpret engineering documentation, such as P&IDsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematicsExperience in manufacturing or nuclear procedure and training development.Proven facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlinesProven ability to create real and positive change.Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook).Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing certification.GE Program graduate, e.g., OMLP, EEDP (GE employees only).
