What will a day on the job be like?

\n\nNo two days are the same, in this role you’ll be directly impacting the guest experience, working closely with an experienced team, and delivering Food and Beverage service.\nYou would be working alongside a multiskilled team within Food & Beverage department.\nCreating exceptional guest experiences in all interactions with our guests.\nEnsuring all guests receive a friendly, warm welcome, prompt attention along with quick, efficient service.\nAssist guests as they are seated.\nSet up and maintain all service areas & stations with sufficient mise en place for the length of service.\nEnsure orders are promptly collected from the kitchen when ready and carried to the guests appropriately.\nAssist/undertake tasks of the barista or bartender. \nUndertaking general waiting duties for food or beverages or both, including cleaning tables.\nMixing a range of sophisticated drinks.\nTaking reservations, greeting and seating guests.\nDemonstrate exemplary menu & product knowledge and be familiar with all items on menus available.\nDemonstrate responsible service of alcohol to all patrons at all times.\nExhibit exemplary personal behaviour, appearance, and attitude.\nEnsure tables and chairs are correctly positioned for each seating and that all chairs, seats, and floor are spotlessly clean before the arrival of each guest and to be maintained during service.\nCooperate with Hilton Sydney regarding any requirement that is enforced in the interests of health, safety, and welfare at work.\nPossible physical duties:\n\nCarrying plates of food\nCarrying/pushing tables and chairs\nCarrying trays of drinks and food\nCarrying piles of linen\nCarrying and polishing cutlery, crockery and glassware\nClearing tables \nPushing trolleys\nReaching for racks and top shelves\nLoading and unloading fridges and cupboards (i.e. carrying and bending)\nCarrying beer slabs and wine cartons\nStanding up to/or greater than eight hours\n\n\n\n

What are we looking for?

\n\nMust possess current and valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certification.\nPrevious work experience in Hospitality or Customer Service is desirable.\nPrevious food hygiene experience is desirable.\nCompleted tertiary qualifications in Hospitality Management are desirable.\nElectronic Ordering Systems experience is desirable.\nCash handling Experience is desirable.\nA high level of interpersonal skills in both oral and written communication.\nTime management and ability to follow directions.\nGood communication skills.\nCommitted to delivering a high level of customer service.\nExcellent grooming standards.\nAble to work on a rotating roster, both day and night shifts involving late starts and early finishes.\nMust have valid Australian working rights (minimum 6 months).\n
