Overview W Chicago - City Center is seeking an innovative and results-driven Food & Beverage Manager to lead the hotel’s vibrant dining and beverage operations. This role is perfect for a creative and experienced professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, understands the art of crafting exceptional dining experiences, and aligns with the W brand’s bold and stylish culture. Responsible for budgets and cost control measures, quality standards, guest satisfaction and associate satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Ensure every guest enjoys a memorable and elevated dining experience across all food and beverage outlets. Actively engage with guests to gather feedback and address concerns, creating a welcoming and personalized atmosphere. Stay ahead of industry trends to introduce innovative menus, beverage offerings, and concepts that align with the W brand ethos. Recruit, train, and lead a passionate team of culinary and service professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, empowerment, and excellence. Conduct regular training sessions to ensure the team delivers exceptional service in line with brand standards Mentor and develop team members, supporting their growth and career progression within Marriott International. Manage daily food and beverage operations, including the restaurant, bar, in-room dining, and banquet services. Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain consistent quality, creativity, and presentation in all menu offerings. Optimize staffing, scheduling, and workflows to maximize efficiency and profitability while maintaining service quality. Partner with other departments to coordinate events, promotions, and group functions, ensuring seamless execution. Develop and manage budgets, control costs, and monitor financial performance to meet or exceed revenue and profit targets. Analyze key performance indicators, such as labor costs, food costs, and guest satisfaction scores, to identify opportunities for improvement. Oversee inventory management and procurement to ensure high-quality products and cost control. Ensure all food and beverage offerings reflect the W brand’s vibrant and innovative style, enhancing the property’s reputation as a dining destination. Design and execute creative marketing and promotional strategies to drive guest engagement and revenue. Qualifications Successful individuals must be available to work flexible schedules and have proven track records as effective trainers, coaches and motivators. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to lead, direct and motivate supervisors and associates. Must be experienced with cost controls, financial controls, profit and loss statements, etc. Direct and participate the functions of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation. Implement effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs among all departments. Maintain high standards of food & beverage quality, service & marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service. Regularly review and evaluate the degree of customer satisfaction of the Food & Beverage operations. Assist in the recruiting of high quality personnel and manage the development, motivation and retention of staff. Conduct and execute all company and General Manager directed projects. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE 4 Year college degree required. Hospitality experience required preferably in Food in Beverage. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $55,000.00/Yr. - $65,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
