We are dedicated to offering our guests a five-star experience throughout our F&B offerings, which also include our modern seafood bar and grill, the Swilcan Loft; traditional pub Hams Hame and the famous Jigger Inn.
**About the role**
At the Old Course Hotel, we are dedicated to providing our guests with exceptional dining and bar experiences and as we continue to grow, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead our team to ensure the highest level of service and quality.
We are looking for a proactive and motivated Food and Beverage Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our restaurants and bars, reporting directly into our Food and Beverage Director. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimising operations, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout our Road Hole Bar and Restaurant, Swilcan Loft, Roof – Terrace, Breakfast & In-Room Dining offerings and Conference and Events.
**Key Responsibilities**
- - Lead, motivate and train the F&B team to deliver exceptional guest service.

- - Oversee daily operation of all food and beverage services, ensuring consistency and quality.
- - Handle guest enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally and promptly.
- - Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring all associates follow correct procedures.
- - Monitor the performance of the team and provide regular coaching and evaluations.
- - Manage inventory, ordering and financial goals for food and beverage
- - Ensure cleanliness of the restaurants and bars still room areas before, during and after service and are in accordance with the hotel’s standards of practice.
- - Ensure payroll expense conforms to departmental budgets, and schedules are properly aligned with levels of hotel activity.
- - Reviews financial reports and statements to determine how Food and Beverage is performing against budget
- - Coach associates to promote and maintain a high level of guest service in line with LQA, Visit Scotland, AA and Guest Experience goals.
- - Responsible for implementing beverage, food menus, wine lists, special promotions with proper cost calculations and ensure in cooperation with the Purchasing Manager and F&B director, items are available anytime and of the highest quality.
- - Monitors and maintains the productivity level of associates.
- - Creates and nurtures a property environment that emphasises motivation, empowerment, teamwork, continuous improvement and a passion for providing service.
- - Responsible to follow-through on any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Director of food and beverage.
**The ideal candidate**
To be successful in this position you will have:
- - Degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality Management, Business Management or related (Desirable)
- - 2 years’ experience in a professional food and beverage and culinary environment.
- - Strong people leadership experience
- - WSET level 2 or above.
- - Financial acumen.
- - Expert with food safety regulations and culinary practices as well as the Licensing Scotland Act.
- - Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on guest experience interactions.
- - Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced & agile environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- - A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organisational skills.
**Hours**
Full time, 40 hours over 5/7 days per week as per the needs of the operation.
**Remuneration**
£52,000 to £56,000 gross per annum depending on experience. This is based on competitor analysis for the role.
