The resort was named the “Jewel of the Desert” since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration and has over 700 rooms, over 200,000 square feet in banquet space, and 8 food and beverage outlets (including 2 restaurants, 2 bars, 2 poolside bars, a gelato shop/café, and in-room dining). Hotel Website, Instagram, Facebook Overview Exciting opportunity to join an iconic luxury hotel and gain experience in various food and beverage outlets as a Food and Beverage Manager! As a Food and Beverage Manager, you would be responsible for leading in the day-to-day management of the various food and beverage outlets. Specifically, this includes, but is not limited to, the following duties: Lead, organize, plan and direct all restaurant employees in a style that is acceptable to the Hotel's management philosophy. Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained during hours of operation and that labor standards are met. Hire and train team members. Ensure proper training procedures according to hotel policies and specific needs of the restaurant, bar and pool areas. Handle payroll, tip reporting, attendance reports and check handling. Work closely with Food and Beverage Management in planning activations and monitor cabana pricing for the pools well in advance. Be involved with marketing and promotions. Ensure the highest level of service and emphasize importance of local and hotel guests. Track the above and keeping records of guest information to ensure proper guest recognition at all times. Ensure uniform standards, cleanliness and proper care of all supplies and equipment, along with a high standard of food and beverage quality and consistency. Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others. Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency, and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency. Lead by example by ensuring that subordinate Associates receive the appropriate or required safety- and security-related training, and strictly enforce safety- and security-related procedures within the department. Qualifications At least two (2) years of food and beverage leadership experience Prior management experience, preferred Luxury hotel experience, preferred Experience in a pool operation, preferred Coffee Shop experience, preferred Maricopa County Food Handlers Card CPR and First Aid Certification Fun, outgoing and energetic personality Team player Takes initiative Proactive Passion for creating unforgettable experiences Driven to grow within food and beverage
