Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Food & Beverages Facilities of the 6th Force Support Squadron Sustainment Service Flight, MacDill AFB, FL. The primary purpose of this position is to provide support and assists the Food and Beverage Director in the economic and efficient operation of the Breakaway Event Center and all NAF FSS Food and Beverage operations. Responsibilities Performs various management support functions to include processing all purchase orders and receiving reports using internet based purchasing software. Prepares all time records for payroll processing and assists with payroll discrepancies. Approving official for NAF Government Purchase card (NAF GPC) Program. Responsible for issue, receipt and control of cash boxes. Prepares a daily report of all significant occurrences during the shift. Conducts daily cash handling such as reconciliation of days business; receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and use of cash accountability control methods. Processes and enters sales and general ledger entries (GLAF's) for Food and Beverage cost centers. Enters end of month inventory counts into appropriate accounting system(s). Clears all financial accounting variances identified in daily Financial Detail Reports with assistance from management, as needed. Responsible for all purchases entered into IBPS. Responsible for data entry of all menu Cost Cards for complete Food Portfolio providing quarterly updates as required by Director. Responsible for maintaining all food and beverage continuity files. Maintains and ensures all recall rosters and other emergency reporting documents are accurate. Ensures adequate and accurate marketing materials / information packages are readily available to units and clients who are hosting personal events. Assists in securing quotes for all equipment replacement items. Maintains all Employee Notice Boards at all locations current with safety and general information. Inspects and secures facility at the end of the shift. Must work an uncommon tour of duty which includes nights, weekends, and holidays. Qualifying Experience: Must have progressive knowledge of cash handling procedures and sales operations such as; receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and use of cash accountability control methods. Must have experience in administration that consists of maintaining accurate filing system for continuity of operations. Must have experience which demonstrates ability to provide work direction to other employees in absence of management and knowledge of fire, safety, and health regulations. Must be able to communicate with customers and possess skill in dealing with the public. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement.
