Job reference: 000204 Salary: $19 to $23 Department: Property Leadership Location: Santa Ynez Valley Marriott (555 McMurray Rd Buellton, CA 93427) Division: Kang Family Partners Hours Per Week: 40 Job Description Food & Beverage Supervisor We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Food & Beverage Supervisor to oversee the operations of our food and beverage outlets, including bar services, dining areas, room service, and event support. This role ensures exceptional guest experiences, maintains quality standards, and optimizes profitability. What will you do? Lead the daily operations of food and beverage outlets, ensuring service quality and efficiency. Be present on the restaurant floor at least 85% of the time, especially during peak service hours. Handle guest interactions, resolve complaints, and promote a welcoming atmosphere. Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency. Train, supervise, and motivate employees to uphold service and quality standards. Conduct regular evaluations of products and services, initiating corrective actions as needed. Oversee the setup and operation of the Micros system and train staff on its use. Perform administrative tasks, including preparing purchase orders and maintaining records. Monitor cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards across the department. Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless food and beverage operations. Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote outlets. Maintain compliance with food safety, health regulations, and beverage service certifications. Specific duties include: Open and close shifts per management guidelines in the absence of the Food & Beverage Manager. Conduct taste panels and menu training to ensure consistent product quality. Implement and maintain side work schedules and operational checklists. Collaborate with Human Resources for recruitment, training, and performance management. Encourage staff problem-solving and empowerment to enhance guest satisfaction. Assist in achieving financial targets and monitor revenue control procedures. Support special events, restaurant parties, and room service functions as needed. Actively contribute to the success of the Guest Satisfaction Survey (GSS) program. About you: Experience — Minimum of 2-3 years in a supervisory role in food and beverage operations. Proficiency with Micros systems and hands-on experience in restaurant, bar, and room service management. Skills — Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Certifications — Must hold or obtain California RBS Certification and Food Handler/Food Safety Manager Certification.
