ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for Food & Beverage Supervisor at the Florence Center.
Summary
In conjunction with or in the absence of the Concession Manger, The Food & Beverage Supervisor oversees all Banquet and Concession functions including breakfast, buffet, bars, plated and reception events, concession stands and other facility offerings such as portables.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Establishes client food & beverage and operational needs for the event.Assists in developing work plans including scheduling and ordering and assigns appropriate duties to subordinates.Oversees Food and Beverage operations during event to ensure client satisfaction and quality control standards.Inspects food service facilities to ensure that equipment and buildings meet requirements of state and local health laws and internal regulations.Maintains inventory control.Inspects and tastes prepared foods to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations.Works within guidelines for food and labor costs.Attends in-house event-related meetings and relays immediate changes with other departments.Beverage inventory, ordering, receiving and controls.Maintains all Banquet and Concessions equipment cleanliness and annual maintenance.Position is hands-on with excessive interaction with clients during events.Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises employees in the Food & Beverage Department in Bartending, Catering, and Concessions.Trains hourly Food & Beverage staff.Assists the Director of Food & Beverage and Concessions Manager in the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit.Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM Global's policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and forwarding to the Concessions Manager.Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalentMinimum 5 years’ experience within Food & Beverage.Or equivalent combination of education and experience.Prior supervisory experience preferred.Skills and Abilities
