Job Description

We are seeking a Development Lab Assistant to support the product development and sensory lab processes. The ideal candidate will prepare samples for sensory evaluation, materials for pilot plant trials, and manage shelf life stability studies for liquid products.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain good records of all laboratory work.Maintain a safe and clean laboratory work environment.Arrange and conduct product evaluations: maintain stability testing process, keep storage inventory, conduct and document physical analyses, schedule and conduct flavor evaluation sessions.Precisely weigh ingredients, conduct bench and midscale lab trials at the direction of project leaders.Analyze intermediate samples, set-up analytical and microbiological analysis requests.Continuously keep the product development lab clean and in good order.Arrange shipment of samples and materials out of the lab using proper record-keeping and quality procedures.Maintain Excel and Word data files of quality records including physical and sensory analysis.Comply with the Quality Management System and all other company policies and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExperience in laboratory settings with skills in lab work, chemistry, and biology.Strong computer skills with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.Good interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a closely related field preferred but not required.Work Environment

This individual will be working in a lab environment with hours from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
