**Food Manufacturing Sanitation Associate** **Job Description** We are seeking Sanitation Associates to help maintain the integrity of product safety and quality in a food manufacturing facility. This role involves maintaining an elevated level of cleanliness and sanitation to ensure a safe and orderly environment. The shift for this position is Tuesday to Saturday from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with training conducted Monday to Friday. **Responsibilities** + Comply with all legislated and relevant laws and regulations for safety and quality, including lockout tag out, GMP, HACCP, Allergen, and company-specific policies and procedures. + Maintain work area and equipment to ensure clean, sanitary, and orderly conditions. + Perform general industrial cleaning in production areas. + Operate cleaning equipment to maintain floors throughout the building and production areas, ensuring there are no spills or raw materials residue. + Empty all waste containers and replace bags. + Clean and disinfect washrooms, locker rooms, and lunchrooms. + Wash and dust walls, equipment, tanks, ceiling light fixtures, and ceiling vents to remove dirt, spilled ingredients, grease, oil, or any other foreign matter. + Report any defective materials, spills, or issues that take longer than normal to clean. + Occasionally fill pails for production or assist in other production utility operator activities. + Perform other duties as requested, assigned, or directed. **Essential Skills** + At least one year of experience in industrial sanitation. + Experience in food manufacturing sanitation is preferred. + Knowledge of handling chemicals. + Proficiency in general housekeeping and industrial cleaning. + Familiarity with GMP standards. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods, climb stairs, and regularly bend, stoop, and reach. + Ability to lift more than 50 lbs. on an occasional basis. + Work in a food manufacturing production environment, exposed to noise and temperature variations. + Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as uniforms, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hair nets, beard nets, and safety gear specific to work activity. **Why Work Here?** Employees enjoy benefits such as purchasing wholesale chocolate at a discount and receiving free chocolate on their birthdays. The work environment is noisy and requires wearing PPE such as uniforms, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hair nets, beard nets, and other safety gear specific to work activity. The schedule may be subject to change to ensure sanitation operations do not disrupt production. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
