Food Market Cashier

Overview The Highlands at Harbor Springs is looking for cashiers to join our Food Market team. You will be responsible for greeting guests, answering questions, and running the cash register. This is a full-time or part-time seasonal position with flexible scheduling, giving you plenty of chances to take advantage of the awesome perks that come with working for an amazing resort. Responsibilities • Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol. • Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them. • Receive and process customer payments. • Balancing cash drawers and making daily deposits. • Ensure that guests have an enjoyable dining experience by providing quality guest service. • Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to take care of them. • Set up or restock product service items. • Respond promptly and courteously to any customer requests. • Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment. Qualifications • Must have SafeServ Certification or be able to obtain one after being hired • Prior Experience with Point-of-Sale system preferred but not required
