Overview The Highlands at Harbor Springs is looking for Food Market Line servers to join our team. As a line server, you will be responsible for serving our guests their hot food choices from our awesome selection of sandwiches/pizza. This is a full-time or part-time seasonal position with flexible scheduling, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the various perks of working for an awesome ski resort. Responsibilities • Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them. • Inform guests of specials and menu changes. • Make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy. • Upsell food and beverage items by using suggestive selling techniques. • Answer questions regarding regions where food products come from, and how food is prepared. • Describe in detail tastes and textures. • Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services. • Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment. • Maintain clean service areas • Respond promptly and courteously to any requests. • Other non-essential duties may be assigned Qualifications • Must have SafeServ Certification or be able to obtain one after being hired • Must 18 years old • Prior Experience with Point-of-Sale system preferred but not required • Prior food service helpful
