The Food and Nutrition Educator will also be responsible for evaluating individuals for competency within the introductory period. This position will include a holiday and weekend rotation. The Educator will have responsibilities of audits for sanitation and safe observations with the ability to complete just in time training and corrective action plans. Presenting Department Orientation for new employees within their first week. Training staff on the essential functions of their job. Enter attendance for inservices into NetCompetency. Audit staff and coach on noncompliant or critical job functions. Assist staff with CBL’s and track staff that has outstanding CBLs. Communicate concerns for employee performance or trending issues in the department to the supervisors and managers. Complete annual trainings and inservices and record attendance in NetCompetency. Identify gaps of education and create curriculum to educate staff on necessary topics.The Educator position is required to train and participate in all positions in the kitchen. The educator may be required to sit for long periods of time or stand and walk for long periods. The Educator will need to be able to kneel, squat, bend, stoop, reach, reach overhead, lift, push carts, sit, and do repetitive tasks. The physical needs of this position will change daily based on the staff that is being trained.
To be successful the Educator will need public speaking skills, organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and the ability to communicate effectively.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education/Training/Experience: REQUIRED: 2 years of experience in Nutrition Education, Nutrition Management, or related field Certified Dietary Manager, Diet Tech Registered, or Degree in an Accredited Dietetics Program PREFERRED: License/Certifications/Special Requirements: SERVSAFE Facilitator Certification or ability to receive on within 6 months of hire.
