Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager for Glendale Nursing Home, a 200 resident skilled care facility located in Schenectady, New York.  In this fast-paced position,  the manager will oversee five unit dining rooms for this community and enjoy training and mentoring resident food service workers.  Typical shift will be 11:00 am - 7:00 pm, with rotating weekends.  This is a great opportunity to grow your career with Sodexo.

What You'll Do daily kitchen duties, such as keeping temperature logs for all resident refrigerators;meet with staff daily/weekly along with weekly huddles; round the floors at least twice daily; keep up on employees cleaning tasks;oversee training of employees; interview and mentor new staff.

What You Bring has two or more years prior food service management experience, ideally in a healthcare or senior living environment;passion for our residents and customers to ensure our Sodexo CARES (Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Enthusiasm and Service) behaviors are followed daily; andexcellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implement company policies. Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
