Sodexo is currently seeking a Food Production Manager - 3 to join our Campus Services team at Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, LA. The Production Manager will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of all culinary operations at the account. 

Some responsibilities include:

Food Production Management

Ordering

Inventory

Plate Cost Management

Recipe Compliance

Managing Staff

 

The successful candidate will:

Have  3-5 years operational management experience in a high-volume food service dining environment.Be a people person with a strong focus on maintaining positive client relations; a solid manager/leader who is perceptive and has attention to details that make a difference – quality and presentation of food.Be SERVICE focused– including providing excellent customer service in a welcoming dining environment.Be proficient in use of online Food Management Systems for menu/recipe planning, ordering and inventory;Demonstrate proven financial acumen/success: Food costs/ labor costs, budgets.

have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement and leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;  have a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;  have high volume food service experience that includes catering;have contract food service experience, preferred;have experience managing staff in a union environment, preferred;have food service experience in a high-end establishment, preferred;can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and have a passion for a high level of customer service; and/orprioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
